Different operations can be carried out from the RBS menu.

Click this option to close or complete an RBS. Once an RBS is closed any type of operations cannot be carried out

Click this option to re-open a closed RBS. Once a RBS is re-opened operations can be carried out on the RBS.

Click this option to view deleted risks. RBS Deleted Risks window is displayed.

Deleted risks will be displayed in the window.
Click Export to Excel to export the deleted risks information to an MS Excel file.

Clear RBS

Click this option to remove all the risks from a WBS.

Show Project / Enquiry
|
Click this option to view the details of the Project to which the RBS is linked.

Legends

Click this option to view different legends associated with the risks.

Import/Export operations
Risk details can be Imported using an MS Excel template. Also risk details can be exported and the log of import and export operations can be viewed. On hovering the mouse pointer over the tool bar option Import/Export, different operations are displayed.

To generate an import template
1.On the Import/Export menu click Generate Template.
Select Properties window is displayed.

Select Properties window is displayed. On the window Risk Column Names are grouped under different headings. Selected properties are displayed in the section Selected Columns.
2.After selecting the properties click Download button.
If the checkbox next to the option Perform as background operation is selected, on clicking Download the following message is displayed.

3.Click OK to download the template.
4.On the generated template, enter risk details that are to be imported and save the template.
When user needs to update details of large number of existing risk items, the data can be exported to MS Excel, necessary changes are made in MS Excel and is imported back to SmartProject
To export risk details
1.On the menu click Export.
Select Properties window is displayed.
2.On the window select the properties that are to exported to Excel and click Download.
Risk details are exported and the export file is downloaded. Edit the values in the export file and import the updated file back to SmartProject.
To import risk details
1.On the Import/Export menu click Import.
Bulk Import Wizard is displayed.
2.Click Choose File to select the import template file.
3.After selecting the file click Next. If the correct import template file is selected, next window is displayed.
4.On the window click Finish. Import operation will take place in the background.
To view log of import/export operations
1.On the menu click Bulk Operation Log.
Bulk Operation Log window is displayed.

On the window, date of operation, operation name and status of the operation is displayed. If there are any errors in the operation. option to download error report is available.
Managing RBS Layouts
RBS Layout can be saved and managed from the options available on clicking Layout.

Select Columns
|
On clicking select columns, column selection window is displayed. Here columns that are to be displayed in the grid can be selected. Select the checkbox next to the columns and click OK.

Save

Click Save to save the current layout. Layout can be saved as Public or Private. On clicking Save, Save Layout window is displayed.

1.Enter a name for the layout and select a layout type.
2.Click OK to save.

Replace
|
Click Replace to replace the existing layout with the current layout.

Manage
|
Click Manage Layout to manage the created views. On clicking Manage Layout the following window is displayed.

Here you can change the layout type and hide or unhide the view.
