Sharing files for collaborative editing

There are scenarios where multiple users simultaneously need to edit the documents that are checked out for online editing.  Permission can be granted for multiple users to edit the documents. Multiple documents are uploaded to the cloud for online editing.

To share files for collaborative editing

  1. Select the document and click Check Out. Checkout window is displayed.
  2. On the checkout window select the Checkout location as Collaborative Edit Cloud.

On selecting this option, the checkout window is expanded and options to share the document are displayed.

  1. On the To field, enter a user, user group, or an external mail id.
  2. After entering the required fields enter Check out.

The document is checked out into the cloud and is shared with the users for collaborative editing. A notification is sent to the email id of the ‘Share With’ user. The mail will contain the document link with a predefined message or message provided by the session creator.
