Bid evaluation is a two-stage process comprising of technical and commercial bid assessment performed by technical experts and finance department respectively. The technically qualified vendors are admitted to the next stage of commercial bid evaluation. Hence a provision to perform technical assessment and flag the vendor as technically approved or rejected prior to commercial evaluation is available.
When commercial bid assessment is performed it is required to distinguish the technically qualified or disqualified vendors. Therefore, a provision to identify technically rejected vendors is helpful.
NOTE: Technical Bid Evaluation is possible only after the Bid Opening Date, even if the tender is in Closed status
