Genealogy is a hierarchical folder structure created for documents, projects, correspondence, and tasks. It is an orderly arrangement of documents, projects, tasks, or Parts. This helps in proper grouping and retrieval of documents. WRENCH SmartProject provides facility to define document or task genealogies depending on the organization. Genealogies are defined for different departments in the organization and documents are added under the respective genealogies. Genealogy System permits the creation of child levels (up to 8 numbers) under a parent genealogy.
Opening Genealogy window
To open the Genealogy window,
1.On the Global Menu, click Utilities>>Masters. Masters home page is displayed.
2.On the homepage click Genealogy.
The Genealogy window is displayed.

Here a genealogy can be created and different properties can be assigned to the created genealogy.
