Here different settings related to timesheet can be defined.
Time Log colour configuration: A colour scheme to denote different status of the time sheet can be configured here. Colour scheme can be selected for the text and background. Configuring a colour scheme is very simple. You can select the colour scheme for text and background next to a status. In addition you can select which custom properties should be inherited to the time sheet. You can select between task and documents.
To configure colour schemes
1.On the menu bar click Timesheet.
Time Log Colour Configuration window is displayed. Here different time log status and colour scheme selectors are displayed.
2.Select colour schemes for background and text.
3.Click Save to continue.
Inherit Custom Properties: Custom properties assigned to document or task can be assigned to the time sheet. Once it is defined whether task or document custom properties has to be inherited by the timesheet, only those custom properties will be available while creating time logs.
To assign custom properties
1.On the Inherit Custom Property drop-down list select Task or Document.
2.Click Save.
The custom properties assigned to the selected item are inherited to the time sheet.
Assign Timesheet approver based on discipline: There are scenarios where a user is working under different discipline but while submitting the time sheet, it is sent to the approvers configured at the project or masters. There is no facility to submit the time sheet depending on the discipline of time log entry. This is handled using this setting.
Once this option is enabled, when a user submits a time sheet for approval in case there are more than one approver, if the discipline of the time log entry and approver are the same, time log entry is submitted to the approver with the same discipline as the time log entry. Or else submitted time log entry is submitted to all the approvers.
Maximum approval duration (Days): Depending on the days mentioned, the approver will be receiving a notification as per the configured mail. If configured mail is not available, default mail will be send as notification. Default value for this property will be zero.
Mail template for timelog approval reminder: A template for time log approval reminder mail can be selected here from a drop-down list.
Timesheet submission mode: Select a time sheet submission mode from a drop-down list.
•When 'Time sheet submission mode' selected is 'None', no submission method is chosen.
•When 'Time sheet submission mode' selected is Daily, daily submission of time sheet is enabled.
•When 'Time sheet submission mode' selected is 'Weekly', weekly submission of time sheet is enabled.
Enable Timesheet Submission Locking: Select a mode for locking the time sheet entries. The different modes available in the drop-down list are None, Daily, Weekly and Monthly. On selecting a mode other than None, an option to specify the date on which the time sheet locking mode is active will be displayed. Select a date from the date picker.
When the ‘Submission mode’ is set to ‘Daily’, and ‘Locking’ is enabled, time logs cannot be submitted unless the previous day’s submission is completed. Similarly, when ‘Submission mode’ is set to ‘Weekly, and ‘Locking’ is enabled, time logs cannot be submitted unless the previous week’s submission is completed.
With effect from: Select a date from the date picker to specify the date on which the time sheet locking mode is active will be displayed.
Enforce daily work hour limit for weekly submission: The setting is enabled only if the submission mode is weekly. There are organizations where both Daily and Weekly work hour restrictions are enforced. If this setting is selected effective workhour against each day of the week is validated against the setting ‘Restrict Time logs more than Calendar Hours’ and ‘Restrict Time logs less than Calendar Hours’. if the setting 'Restrict time logs more than calendar hours' & 'Enforce daily work hour limit for weekly submission' is turned ON, then on time log creation, if the sum of time logs in a day exceeds the daily limit, the user is alerted and saving the time log is blocked.
Block creation/editing of previous time logs beyond (Days): Here a specified time after which creating and editing of previous time logs is to be blocked can be defined.
Block creation/editing of future time logs beyond (Days): Here a specified time before which creating and editing of future time logs is to be blocked can be defined.
Automatic submission on creation: If this setting is enabled, the time log entries will be automatically submitted when a time log is created.
Automatic approval on submission: If this setting is enabled, the time log entries on submission will be automatically approved.
Disallow normal timelogs on holidays: If this setting is enabled, normal timelog entries will not be allowed on holidays.
Disallow overtime logs on holidays: If this setting is enabled, overtime log entries will not be allowed on holidays.
Restrict timelogs less than calendar hours: If this setting is enabled, timelog entries less than calendar hours is restricted.
Restrict timelogs more than calendar hours: If this setting is enabled, timelog entries exceeding the calendar hours is restricted.
Allow user to change discipline: If this setting is enabled, users making the timesheet entry will be able to change their discipline.
Project/Enquiry is mandatory for timelogs: If this setting is enabled, time log entry will be permitted only for a Project or Enquiry related activity.
