Reference numbers are mandatory in any quality standards. Generating and maintaining distinct reference numbers for documents and other items is an arduous operation when managed using paper registers. Often these numbers are complex. WRENCH SmartProject has a configurable reference number generation engine, which can complement a large spectrum of usage. It can be configured to create virtually any type of reference numbers.
Number generation facility is used to generate numbers for Project/Document/Part/MOM/CP, where there is a specific logic for number generation. By using the number generation template, the user can generate numbers from any module by defining the logic for each of the blocks of a number.
Opening Number Generation Window
Number generation window is opened from the Masters.
To open the number generation window
1.On the Masters window click the tab Number Generation.
Number Generation window is displayed. Here a numbering pattern can be created. using a block master and numbering template master.
