Creating and Managing RFI's
Previous Topic  Next Topic

A request for information (RFI) is a common business process whose purpose is to collect written information about any project activity or a deliverable. RFI may be raised during all the major project phases such as Engineering, Procurement and Construction . RFI may be originated by a user of all origins. When the RFI s are of external origin, the RFI is usually sent to the RFI Coordinator, who will then assign the RFI to the concerned users who will be providing the responses. If the response is satisfactory the RFI originator or RFI coordinator may close the RFI. Additional facilities are available to Reopen an RFI, add clarifications to an RFI and also refer an existing RFI.

Using the RFI Module in SmartProject users with sufficient permissions may access, create and respond to the Project RFIs through SmartProject. Refer the following navigation table for more information on creating and managing RFI's.
